Karen Chen joined EPS as an Associate in 2023 after gaining experience working on projects related to economic development, urban planning, and real estate analysis at a firm in Washington, DC. She has a broad range of work experience ranging from community engagement to roles at arts and sustainability organizations. Passionate about helping communities thrive, her professional interests include community and economic development, housing, and retail strategy.

Karen graduated from Georgetown University with a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning in 2022 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of work, Karen enjoys taking pottery classes and shopping secondhand.
